How do you make the world a better place?
An 82-year-old woman shares the simple ritual she and her husband practiced for a lifetime.
A few years ago, while documenting life lessons of people across Europe, Deepak Ramola met an 82-year-old woman named Barbarou on a street in Stockholm.
When asked what life had taught her, she shared a simple ritual she and her husband practiced throughout their lives: regularly pausing to reflect. Were they giving enough time to what mattered? Were they showing the people they loved that they cared? Were they making the world, in their own small ways, a little better?
Her life lesson was simple: Take time out to reflect on what you can do to make the world a better place.
This week’s newsletter is an invitation to revisit that question. Watch the story below, and perhaps spend a few moments reflecting on your own answer.
What is one small thing you can do this week to make someone's world a little better? Share it with us below in the comments!
